Granite is an igneous rock formed from the cooling of acidic molten masses, and therefore, its texture consists of medium to coarse grains. Granite symbolizes hardness, resistance, and durability, and due to its resistance to abrasion, it is mainly used in high-traffic buildings, public places, and laboratories. The major reserves of granite stones are in China and India, and in Iran, these types of stones also have good reserves compared to other countries and are mainly observed in white, black, orange, green, gray, and red colors. Due to their high hardness and high consumption, these types of stones are mainly processed as tiles (in various dimensions) and slabs.
