Marble is a metamorphic rock that is formed by the recrystallization of limestone. Over time, under pressure and heat, the structure and composition of limestone change, recrystallize, and give rise to a large, rough, and veined calcite. The amount of marble reserves in Iran is very high compared to other types of stones, and it has a wide variety and diversity in pattern and color, mainly seen in white, cream, beige, black, brown, gray, red, and sometimes a combination of several colors can be observed. Due to the high consumption of these stones in buildings, their dimensional variety, like their pattern and color variety, is high. Therefore, these stones are mainly processed in Iran in slab and tile dimensions (in various sizes).
