Diplomat stone is a gray marble with pink veins which is mainly quarried in Abadeh town in Fars province, Iran. Diplomat marble is sorted based on its types of veins after extraction and production. This marble is also quarried in other cities of Iran such as Isfahan, but due to the quality of Abadeh Diplomat , it is the most popular and expensive Diplomat marble in both domestic and international markets.

- Amount of veins and fossils: the less fossils and veins the stone has, the higher it will be priced
- Uniformity of the stone: more uniform stones with a solid color will cost much
- Dimensions of the slab: the bigger slabs need more precision in cutting; as a result their price is higher.
